On Saturday July 9th Optimus Brazilian Jiu Jitsu held it official Grand Opening. It was a huge success! Elite Jiu Jitsu fighters from all over Orange County showed up to learn and train. The Optimus was honored to have Professor Tinguinha and Professor Alberto Crane teaching their well honed techniques. The day Started with Tinguinha teaching several controls and rarely seen sweeps from Spider Guard. Alberto Crane followed with combination attacks from cross guard. The students quickly absorbed the new moves. We are already seeing some submissions in class with the new techniques.
The Optimus also promoted some students to a new Jiu Jitsu rank. Congratulations to Bryan Grebbin who was promoted to Blue Belt, and Elijah Thomas, and Jeremy Wentz to one stripe White Belt.
I am excited about the progress our students are making. Everybody is training hard and becoming technical. Our academy continues to be a source for high quality Jiu Jitsu in the Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and Aliso Viejo area.
