Our team participated in two separate competitions this weekend and emerged victorious in both. The first was the NABJJF Orange County Open. This was a local tournament held in Fullerton, CA. We took 4 competitors to this event with 3 of them fighting their way to gold. Both Cole and Armando submitted both their opponents on their way to 1st place. Paul scored 6 points on his way to gold.
The second was The 13th annual Tinguinha In-house Tournament. An in-house tournament is designed for schools affiliated with the R1ng bjj Team to come together and have a friendly tournament. It provides a supportive atmosphere for students to get used to competing. We had Connor and Alexis winning gold and Joe from Mammoth Lakes taking silver. As an added highlight there were 3 black belt super fights for the thrill of the onlookers.
